A ZALA «Lancet» gun crew from the 90th Tank Division destroyed dozens of Ukrainian Armed Forces vehicles

Calculation by the ZALA «Lancet» Command Unit The 15th Separate Battalion of the 90th Guards Tank Division, part of the «Centre» group, is assisting Russian units in advancing in the Dnipropetrovsk sector of the Joint Operational Command. The crew’s combat operations begin with the launch of a Z-16 reconnaissance UAV, which surveys the terrain, identifies targets and determines their nature. The data is transmitted to command, after which various weapons are deployed, including air strikes, the monitoring of which is also carried out by the Z-16 operators.

Lancet loitering munitions are regularly used to destroy equipment and strongpoints. A shaped-charge warhead is used against armoured vehicles, while a high-explosive fragmentation warhead is used against personnel and fortifications. Launching is carried out both against a detected target and in a free-hunt mode, where the operator searches for an object through powerful optics with onboard support of the IRRA intelligent system.

Among the latest targets hit are an IFV, which was loading a mortar crew for a rotation, and an enemy pickup truck. Having tracked its movement, the operators located the deployment site of the AFU group and destroyed the vehicle along with the crew.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a crew operating the ZALA «Lancet» anti-tank missile system left the American M1126 Stryker armoured personnel carrier with no chance of survival. The enemy vehicle was detected on a road at night and destroyed by a «Lancet» loitering munition with Intelligent targeting and recognition system IRRA. The accuracy of the strike was verified by the ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAV.

With enhanced accuracy: the ZALA «Lancet» missile system is taking out targets in the Krasnoliman sector

NTV journalists have shown the RUK ZALA «Lancet» crew in action in the Krasnoliman sector. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the loitering munition independently identifies military vehicles and strikes them with enhanced accuracy.

Over a year and a half of joint service, the fighters have become so well-coordinated that they take no more than five minutes on all checks and preparation of the launcher. The operators also note the stability of the communications as one of the key advantages of the system. In one incident, the crew hit a target deep behind enemy lines—at a distance of 115 kilometres from the launch point.

ZALA Z-16 in the skies over the front line: new footage from independent monitoring for August 2026

The crews of the ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAVs monitor the situation around the clock, conduct aerial reconnaissance of enemy positions and promptly identify changes on the ground. Operators record the redeployment of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel and equipment, and detect strongpoints and fortifications.

High quality of video streaming and thermal imaging combined with intelligent system IRRA enables the detection and reliable identification of objects even when carefully camouflaged and in poor visibility. Reconnaissance is conducted both along the line of combat contact and in rear areas. The information obtained from the air helps to assess the situation and control the results of operations by artillery, aviation, and Lancet loitering munitions.

During the hours of darkness, a crew operating the ZALA «Lancet» special-purpose vehicle from the Southern Military Group destroyed a 2S1 «Gvozdika» self-propelled artillery piece belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The strike against the enemy’s equipment was carried out using «Lancet» loitering munitions with intelligent system IRRA, which ensured high-precision target engagement even in conditions of limited visibility.

ZALA showcased solutions for the Ministry of Emergency Situations and a new ventilator at the «Comprehensive Security» exhibition

At the 16th International «Comprehensive Security» Exhibition, taking place from 3 to 5 September in Kazan, ZALA is showcasing multi-platform technologies designed to protect life and health.

The main premiere — ZALA-Medical portable mechanical ventilator, which has no analogues in Russia and the CIS countries. It is designed for long-term respiratory support in field conditions, air ambulance and intensive care, and operates in conditions of smoke, dust, temperature and humidity fluctuations.

The modernised ZALA T-16 and T-20 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) play a key role, having achieved record flight durations across all climatic zones of Russia. Their AI-based on-board systems autonomously search for and identify targets. The T-16 can remain airborne for more than four hours, whilst the T-20 can stay aloft for more than seven. The aircraft are integrated into the ZALA 4Z1 digital platform, which enables the rapid collection and analysis of aerial monitoring data.

Specialised systems are also presented for the Ministry of Emergency Situations ZARYA-1 and ZARYA-1M. They are designed for monitoring hard-to-reach and potentially hazardous areas, supporting rescue and search teams, and are already in use in more than 60 regions of Russia.

The water and land segments represent uncrewed surface vessels «Kama» и universal robotic platform for cargo delivery and the evacuation of the wounded. All equipment operates within a unified 4Z1 ecosystem.

Secure communications and stable positioning are provided by sovereign system «GEOKOSMOS». It integrates all platforms into a single digital environment and remains operational even when communication channels are jammed or satellite navigation is unavailable. This ZALA approach demonstrates a unified framework in which unmanned systems, robotics and secure communications provide specialists with high operational efficiency, reliability and confidence when tackling the most complex tasks.

ZALA MEDICAL: a new-generation ventilator

ZALA presents a portable ventilator designed to provide prolonged respiratory support to the wounded and injured in field conditions, in air ambulance services and in intensive care units. It is designed to operate in dusty and smoky environments, as well as under varying temperatures and humidity levels. The built-in artificial intelligence continuously analyses the patient’s condition and advises the doctor on the optimal respiratory support strategy.

Key design features ensure maximum reliability, high autonomy and ease of operation in stressful conditions with minimal preparation time. The use of an energy-efficient brushless turbine makes it possible to use the device without the need to connect to an oxygen cylinder. The removable rechargeable battery provides up to 12 hours of standalone operation, while the additional built-in backup battery allows the removable battery to be hot-swapped without interrupting the ventilation process. The protected shock-resistant casing safeguards the device during transport and disinfection. The single-patient breathing circuit eliminates cross-infection. Deployment takes 30–60 seconds, enabling medical staff to start ventilation even in the most challenging conditions.

The range of ventilation modes covers all key clinical scenarios, and switching between modes is carried out quickly and intuitively via the direct button control interface.

ZALA «Lancet»: right on target! August 2026

August proved to be a month of intensive work for the RUK ZALA «Lancet» team across all key areas. By the end of the month, data from open sources had reached a milestone of 5 thousand confirmed strikes by «Lancet» loitering munitions in the SMO zone. Last month, the system was actively used against a wide range of targets, including tanks, self-propelled and towed artillery, armoured vehicles and special transport, multiple launch rocket systems, radar stations and other objects. Separate strikes were carried out on enemy watercraft involved in logistics and sabotage operations.

Particular attention is to be paid to moving and camouflaged targets. A key factor in effectiveness is intelligent guidance and recognition system IRAS. It reliably identifies objects even under active electronic warfare counter-measures and in limited visibility, maintaining high strike accuracy.

A Ukrainian Armed Forces lorry was destroyed by a crew operating the ZALA «Lancet» anti-tank guided missile system»

In the DPR, a crew operating the ZALA «Lancet» system from the «Rubicon» Centre destroyed an enemy lorry. A loitering munition equipped with the IRRA intelligent guidance and target recognition system was fired at the Ukrainian Armed Forces lorry. The hit was confirmed by footage from the on-board cameras of a second «Lancet» operating in the same sector.
