ZALA AERO drones will be used to monitor pipelines of the Samotlor field

Upgraded ZALA AERO drones with new generation payloads and updated software that automatically track changes on the ground will be used to monitor the pipelines of the Samotlor field and the Northern group of fields of Samotlorneftegaz JSC.

The modernized unmanned aerial vehicles of the aircraft type ZALA 421-16E HD with artificial intelligence onboard will be used to carry out the work.

An innovation at this facility will be the use of specialized software to automatically detect changes in the terrain that have occurred over different periods.

Work on more than 750,000 km will start in January 2022 and will last until the end of 2024. It is assumed that monitoring will make it possible to quickly assess the state of pipelines, illegal actions of third parties, and perform other tasks.

The work will be carried out from a stationary take-off site at the Samotlor field and mobile command and control points.
