У них на вооружении состоят разведывательные БПЛА ZALA и барражирующие «Ланцеты» – современные и уже проверенные на СВО беспилотники. Именно с такими «птицами» работает наша элита – спецназ. Они «вырезали» «Ланцетами» десятки единиц бронетехники ВСУ. Ещё больше целей было поражено ударами авиации и огнём артиллерии по данным, полученным от воздушных разведчиков.

Ребята, с которыми предстоит общаться, – скрытные, немногословные и редко становятся героями СМИ. Из машины ребята извлекают здоровенные ящики, и на свет появляется приличных размеров крыло.

– ZALA Z-16, – удовлетворяют наше любопытство операторы. – Главные задачи этой «птицы» – наблюдение, разведка, корректировка огня.

Сказать, что подготовка к пуску проходит быстро, – не сказать ничего. Парни за какие-то минуты собрали и развернули в поле пневматическую пусковую, установили на неё БПЛА. Проверка давления, запуск – и ZALA с тихим пшиком взлетает в ночное небо.

– В активные фазы подъезжаем максимально близко к ЛБС, чтобы сократить время от обнаружения цели до её поражения. В основном работаем на средних дистанциях. В том числе «Ланцетами», – рассказывает «Берлин», старший разведчик-оператор. – Ведём контрбатарейную борьбу, бьём боевые бронированные машины, БМП, танки. Летаем по тылам противника: ищем артиллерию, РСЗО, средства ПВО – всё, что можно поразить.

Этот расчёт ведёт боевую работу с начала вторжения ВСУ в Глушковский район. По словам спецназовцев, на курском направлении им часто встречались западные образцы бронетехники: американские «Брэдли», «Страйкеры» и MaхxPro, европейские машины разминирования. Впрочем, для расчёта нет разницы, по кому бить, будь то украинский танк или натовский. Одного «Ланцета» гарантированно хватает, чтобы сжечь или как минимум полностью вывести из строя любую технику. На передовой хорошо известно: порой один вид пролетающего «Ланцета» устрашает врага и мотивирует наших «штурмов». В свою очередь, разведывательные ZALA, прекрасно проявившие себя в полевых условиях, круглосуточно мониторят районы, отслеживая передвижения ВСУ.

– Ведём работу постоянно, круглые сутки, – говорит нам «Сумрак», командир расчета. – И днём и ночью обнаруживаем, уничтожаем противника своими средствами либо с помощью корректировки огня артиллерии, авиации. Цель обнаруживается, выдаются координаты, далее ведётся корректировка.

– Работаете в паре – ZALA плюс «Ланцет»? – уточняю я.

– Да, совершенно верно. «Птица» обнаруживает, «Ланцет» уничтожает. В Курской области в первые дни было поражено и уничтожено девять единиц техники, а также станция радиоэлектронной разведки «Пластун». Помимо того, что уничтожили нашими средствами, много целей было выявлено и уничтожено с помощью артиллерии и авиации, наведённых с нашей помощью.

– Глубоко в тыл залетаете? – снова задаю вопрос.

– В зависимости от задачи, – отвечает «Сумрак». – Можно заходить и очень глубоко. У противника часто ротации ночью. Кстати, резервы их мы наблюдаем, но их уже не так много, как было в начале вторжения. Сейчас стараемся выявить, вскрыть скопление личного состава и техники, позиции, с которых противник пытается вести огневое поражение наших подразделений. И оперативно их подавить или уничтожить.

The combat journey of these lads as ZALA UAV operators began in 2023. The servicemen are successfully carrying out aerial reconnaissance, adjusting artillery fire, and also participating in counter-battery warfare, destroying targets at ranges of several tens of kilometres. This new weapon, possessing a large operational radius and a significant warhead, has proven extremely effective against artillery installations, anti-aircraft missile systems, radar stations, and AFU armoured vehicles, including those produced by NATO countries.

The commander of this unit is an officer with the call sign «Shuler». In 2022, after graduating from the A.F. Mozhaysky Military Space Academy, he was sent to the special military operation zone. In the Krasnolimansky and Donetsk directions, his unit successfully carried out tasks for reconnaissance and artillery fire adjustment.

Then it was time to master new equipment and weapons.«This was a very productive training. I enjoyed it. I honestly wasn't expecting it to be this good.», – says the officer. During their training, the servicemen first thoroughly studied the theory. Then, in practice, they began to master the control of drones. Experienced instructors conducted classes with them, who were able to provide the crews with the necessary knowledge and skills.

All UAV calculations within the division are capable of operating autonomously, which is why they often simultaneously carry out tasks for several units and over a very wide area. As a rule, ZALA reconnaissance drones are constantly in the air, with the help of which operators conduct target searches. Upon detection, they identify the object and assess the situation. After calculating the route to the target, the servicemen launch a loitering munition.

After operating in this manner for almost a year, the «Shuler» reconnaissance-strike battalion has located and struck over 100 targets. This list includes not only Soviet-made equipment but also American, German, Polish, and Czech. The «Lancet» crews primarily target artillery systems and radar stations, however, their list of destroyed targets also includes tanks.

Last winter, on one of the sectors, the unit detected two camouflaged AFU tanks in a forest belt, two kilometres apart. Due to the strong wind that had picked up, it seemed impossible to hit them with loitering munitions. However, «Berkut», an experienced UAV operator, decided to test his skill.

He first launched the first Lancet at a single target and, despite poor weather conditions, hit it. Then there was a second launch – and the same result. As a result, two tanks, a T-72 and a Leopard, were hit by the UAV in bad weather. «Shuler» is still amazed by his subordinate's feat.«The task was completed, though it was practically impossible. But he somehow managed to do it.», – «The Cheat» recounts.

«Berkut» is one of the most proactive and experienced servicemen in the division. He was one of the first in the unit to start mastering the «Lancet,» and therefore knows this weapon well. According to «Shuler,» «Berkut» always gives his all to achieve the common goal, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to the combat work.

To date, several servicemen of the unit have been awarded high honours. Three of them have state awards (Medals of Zhukov and «For Courage»), and four have been awarded departmental medals.

In the first instance, the ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAV recorded Ukrainian militants on the roof of a building preparing to launch a «Baba Yaga» hexacopter. Data on the target was promptly transmitted to an assault FPV drone crew. The precise strike by the Russian UAV caused the detonation of the «Baba Yaga's» ammunition load – the destruction of which is confirmed by objective control footage from the ZALA Z-16.

The second target was a US-made M777 howitzer. TASS was told by senior operator of the unit, call sign Houdini, a functioning Ukrainian Armed Forces weapon was identified by «marks» at a distance of 33 km from the starting point. After further reconnaissance with a Z-16, the firing position was discovered. Upon the command to destroy, two «Lancet» loitering munitions were launched – both hit the target, which was confirmed by objective control from a ZALA Z-16.

«The main job we have is the Lancet. It is already a striker, but we can also scout on the Lancet: it is both a scout and a striker. It's the technology that does the work for us, the computer, so to speak. We control it with a mouse. And the work is done perfectly!" - says "Dobrik".

According to the operator, remoteness from the line of contact becomes an important advantage of the ZALA Lancet RUC, allowing to preserve the safety of personnel while performing combat missions.
