Operators of one of the most popular unmanned systems in Russia - ZALA T-16 - working in the northernmost regions of the country, shared their experience of operating the equipment in extreme winter conditions.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><blockquote>«We have seven to eight months of winter. The equipment must work without fail, despite frost, snow or polar night. ZALA T-16 was originally created as an industrial complex to work in Russia, taking into account our weather realities. Therefore, its key feature is not just frost resistance, but complex adaptation to the climate of northern regions. This year we set a new record - the minimum temperature outside the aircraft during air monitoring operations was -42°C. The flight was conducted in a normal mode».</blockquote></p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="wp-block-paragraph">ZALA presented the company's innovative unmanned technologies and UAVs at the III Arctic-Regions Forum. At the event's business session, the participants - representatives of the Russian government, science, and business community - discussed the potential of using unmanned systems in a variety of areas and directions: from improving the efficiency of production and logistics processes to environmental monitoring and saving human lives.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">ZALA has many years of experience in manufacturing unmanned aircraft systems that demonstrate high reliability and efficiency in the extreme conditions of the Arctic. The company's UAVs ensure the safety of Russia's northernmost oil pipelines on the peninsula <a href="https://t.me/ZalaAero/475"><u>Yamal</u></a>are used for geological exploration of deposits in the <a href="https://t.me/ZalaAero/553"><u>Yakutia</u></a>. These vehicles are capable of operating at temperatures as low as -50°C, in strong winds and do not require special conditions for launch. In 2024, the ZALA T-16 HLV in ARTIC modification was tested in severe climatic conditions <a href="https://t.me/ZalaAero/157"><u>Antarctides</u></a>.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At the Arctic-Regions Forum, AARI researcher Leonid Startsev shared his experience of using unmanned aircraft systems for scientific research in extreme polar climate conditions. He noted their high efficiency and ability to solve a wide range of tasks related to the study of natural processes in the region, which is an important step in the development of climate change monitoring technologies. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During the business session, the forum participants also discussed the prospects for the development of marine robotics, the introduction of autonomous navigation, and plans for the development of small aircraft.</p>
