Current Practices»</a>, which brought together leading market players. One of the key themes of the event was the digital transformation of the industry, with experts discussing practical solutions, project management, and legal risks in the implementation of large investment and construction projects. The application of AI solutions sparked a lively discussion. Participants emphasised that today this is a mandatory condition for the successful implementation of large-scale facilities. The creation of a unified digital ecosystem, automation of construction control, data management, and the role of artificial intelligence were discussed.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sergey Lyustarnov, Project Manager at ZALA, presented case studies on aerial monitoring of construction and transport infrastructure using ZALA’s aircraft-based UAVs. Using examples from healthcare facilities and Russian Railways projects, he demonstrated how the use of big data enables a shift from piecemeal monitoring to managing the entire lifecycle of a facility. Particular emphasis was placed on the integration of data into the unified ZALA 4Z1 geoinformation system, which eliminates human error and reporting distortions.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Commenting on the inadequacy of traditional control methods and the consequences of the absence of objective monitoring, Ljúshternov outlined the company's key operating principles:</p>

True efficiency means a system based on an aerial UAV covering hundreds of kilometres of infrastructure in a single flight, whilst the client receives not just a „pretty picture“, but objective data on the process: displacements, heat loss, and the dynamics of changes. In construction and transport, we are solving the problem of «blind spots» and providing a tool that allows you to see the situation in real time and make lightning-fast decisions based on neural network analysis, rather than subjective reports from the field,» emphasised a representative of ZALA.</p></blockquote>

Employees of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for Udmurtia</a> Together with specialists from ZALA, they checked compliance with fire safety regulations in the Zavyalovsky District. Using the ZALA T-16 unmanned aerial vehicle, inspectors assessed the condition of fire water reservoirs and mineralised strips designed to protect settlements from fire. During the aerial monitoring, the following violations were identified: unploughed strips and uncleared rubbish. In addition, unauthorised rubbish dumps were found in the forest area, along with clutter caused by wood debris.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Staff from the Ministry of Emergency Situations praised the effectiveness of aerial monitoring using the ZALA UAV, noted the high quality of the equipment, which enabled a detailed survey of the area, and thanked the ZALA specialists for their cooperation. The data obtained will also be used to create orthophoto maps.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Representatives of PJSC Gazprom visited the Italmas research centre at ZALA to learn about the latest developments in aerial monitoring for the civil sector using artificial intelligence technologies. During the visit, the guests were given a detailed presentation of ZALA’s unmanned monitoring process, which today goes far beyond simple data collection and enables detailed analytical data on changes at extensive sites to be obtained directly during flight, with a final detailed report available just a few hours after the UAV lands.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The process is underpinned by the company’s state-of-the-art ZALA unmanned aerial vehicles and technological solutions, which are based on artificial intelligence algorithms — <a href="https://zala-aero.com/en/news/bvs-zala-poluchili-novye-bortovye-sistemy-s-ii-dlya-provedeniya-aviamonitoringa-obektov-tek/">IRRA on-board hardware and software complex</a> and the specialised software "GeoHorizon" and "GeoDynamics". Centralised data management is implemented through <a href="https://zala-aero.com/en/news/zala-4z1-bolee-10-let-obespecheniya-bezopasnosti-na-obektah-tek/">4Z1 digital platform</a>. The geoinformation resource provides the customer with continuous online access to overhead imagery from UAVs and to the media archive.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The technologies presented are already actively used by the largest drone operators in Russia, confirming their reliability and efficiency. The visit of the Gazprom delegation reflects the growing interest of big business in intelligent infrastructure monitoring tools and could become a starting point for further cooperation in the digitalization of the fuel and energy sector's processes.</p>

Operators of ZALA T-16 unmanned aerial vehicles have increased the frequency of aerial monitoring of the extensive infrastructure of the fuel and energy sector in central Russia, prompted by the risks associated with the spring floods.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Meltwater erodes the soil, causing erosion of supports, flooding of protective structures, and exposure of pipes, which can lead to their deformation, depressurisation, and environmental consequences. Ice jams pose a particular danger.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To quickly identify these risks, the ZALA T-16 will employ <a href="https://zala-aero.com/en/news/bvs-zala-poluchili-novye-bortovye-sistemy-s-ii-dlya-provedeniya-aviamonitoringa-obektov-tek/">Advanced tools based on the IRRA hardware-software complex with artificial intelligence</a>. Real-time machine vision algorithms process data from video cameras and thermal imagers – the system automatically classifies deviations and transmits ready signals about flooded areas or ground collapses to the operator. Thanks to integration with the ZALA 4Z1 platform, customer representatives can receive operational information in real-time and make management decisions based on objective data about what is happening. The T-16 flight duration is over four hours. In a single sortie, it inspects more than 75 km of pipelines, and uninterrupted operation is maintained even in a complex radio-electronic environment due to stable communication and alternative navigation.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In early May, monitoring will also be intensified in the northern regions – here, according to specialists, the risks of flooding remain until September.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For the quickest possible coverage of territories, two systems are used simultaneously. The ZALA mobile laboratory, mounted on a high-mobility vehicle, ensures efficient operation in field conditions. As noted by «Aurora-BAS» [Aurora-Unmanned Systems], the parallel use of two UAVs significantly speeds up data collection from remote areas. In addition, the T-16, built into the <a href="https://zala-aero.com/en/news/bvs-zala-poluchili-novye-bortovye-sistemy-s-ii-dlya-provedeniya-aviamonitoringa-obektov-tek/">IRRA AI-based hardware-software complex</a> In real-time, it identifies river congestion, monitors flooding and potential dry grass fires.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The ZALA T-16 is optimal for patrolling large areas in any weather conditions and at any time of day. It carries a wide range of payloads: HD cameras, thermal imagers, and photographic equipment. Its flight endurance exceeds four hours, and it surveys over 75 kilometres in a single sortie. This allows for prompt data acquisition from remote and hard-to-reach territories, which is particularly important during periods of high risk of floods and natural fires.</p>

Spring 2026 poses a challenge to Russia's fuel and energy complex: heavy snowfall and an unusually warm spring threaten floods in Central Russia, the Volga region, and Siberia, followed by early fires. Oil and gas pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, and dams are under threat: soil erosion and dry grass fires could trigger emergency situations. In this regard, oil and gas companies have already moved to active preemptive monitoring using the ZALA T-16 unmanned complex with <a href="https://zala-aero.com/en/news/bvs-zala-poluchili-novye-bortovye-sistemy-s-ii-dlya-provedeniya-aviamonitoringa-obektov-tek/">with the IRRA AI-based hardware-software complex</a>.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The ZALA T-16 records video in daylight, night-time, and thermal imaging modes. On-board UAV machine vision algorithms analyse frames in real-time, classify deviations and transmit ready signals to the operator: flooding zone, thermal anomaly near a pipe, signs of soil erosion. Integration with the ZALA 4Z1 platform allows real-time viewing of video and analytics from anywhere in the world. The T-16 has a flight duration of over four hours and can survey more than 75 km of pipelines per flight. Reliable communication and alternative navigation ensure uninterrupted operation even in a complex radio-electronic environment. According to data from fuel and energy companies, thanks to ZALA's intelligent solutions, 70% events are recorded in real-time, which significantly reduces the response time to a threat.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In 2025, ZALA T-16 systems at the oldest oil and gas field of the fuel and energy complex <a href="https://zala-aero.com/en/news/bvs-zala-v-2025-godu-obsledovali-bolee-5-mln-kilometrov-infrastruktury-tek/">surveyed over 5 million km of routes</a>.
