Over 100 multiple launch rocket systems in the crosshairs: crews of the ZALA «Lancet» self-propelled gun are destroying the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ rocket artillery

Open-source data records over 100 enemy MLRS systems destroyed by crews of the ZALA «Lancet» self-propelled gun during the special military operation — and this is only the part of the statistics that has been publicly confirmed. Among them are modern Western models: American HIMARS и M270, Croatian RAK-SA-12, as well as a significant portion of upgraded Czech ones supplied to the AFU RM-70 Vampire. Video recordings of objective control have repeatedly documented high-precision hits on ammunition loads and launch platforms, leading to the complete detonation of multi-tonne equipment.

Taking out multiple launch rocket systems remains one of the most challenging tactical tasks due to their extreme mobility: the vehicles leave their positions immediately after firing a salvo, leaving them virtually invulnerable to artillery fire. In situations where conventional weapons are too slow to react, the crews of the ZALA «Lancet» reconnaissance and strike complex prove to be an effective solution.

The Lancet loitering munition acts as an aerial hunter: prolonged time in the air and Intelligent Target Acquisition and Recognition System (ITARS) enable attacks on vehicles during the critically brief pause for firing or whilst they are in motion. Integration into a single system with the ZALA Z-16 UAV, which conducts continuous aerial reconnaissance with the use of artificial intelligence algorithms, guarantees the detection of even well-camouflaged targets and immediate objective control of their destruction. An operating range exceeding 100 km provides the capability to eliminate priority mobile systems in tactical and operational depth without crossing the line of combat contact.

Modern U.S. HIMARS MLRS and their analogues demonstrate vulnerability to high-precision strikes of the Russian Armed Forces, the guidance of which is provided by ZALA Z-16 operators. In the first 3 months of 2026, already the fifth system of this type was destroyed with the support of ZALA calculations.

An American MLRS launcher, the tracked analogue of the M142 HIMARS, is destroyed by guided missile strikes near the village of Molodovaya in Kharkiv Region.

«As a result of the strike, the following were destroyed: a MLRS launcher, the vehicle equipment supporting it and up to 10 AFU servicemen,» the Russian Defence Ministry said.

Previously, scouts using the Z-16 provided guidance and objective control of strikes against U.S. MLRS calculations S-400 SAM SYSTEM, Iskander missile defence system« и «Iskander-M»as well as strike UAV.

In the area of the village of Kochetok, Kharkiv region, operators of the ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAV detected the position of the US M142 HIMARS MLRS, which was used to strike civilian infrastructure in Belgorod.

The coordinates of the target were transmitted to the Iskander operational-tactical missile system. Thanks to precise guidance from the Z-16, the missile strike destroyed the enemy complex. The elimination of the target was confirmed by the objective control means of the ZALA UAV. Video Source

ZALA Z-16 operators uncovered the HIMARS position for a strike by the S-400 complex

The ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAV of the GROM «Cascade» brigade identified the hideout of a HIMARS MLRS launcher with which the Ukrainian armed forces were shelling Belgorod from Kharkiv region. The enemy position was camouflaged in a wooded area near the Sredny Burluk settlement. The coordinates of the target were promptly transmitted to the S-400 surface-to-air missile system, which destroyed the enemy's launcher. The accuracy of the missile strikes was confirmed by objective control equipment from the ZALA Z-16.

According to Cascade GROM fighters, this launcher was the 39th to be hit by the brigade's calculations.

In the area of the village of Khlopyaniki in the Chernihiv region, Russian servicemen from the GROM "KASKAD" unit, using a ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAV, discovered a Ukrainian Armed Forces HIMARS MLRS position from which the enemy was shelling the Bryansk region.

ZALA operators continuously monitored the installation, transmitting precise coordinates and route information. A HIMARS multiple launch rocket system moving toward the rear was hit by an attack drone.

Objective control from the Z-16 UAV recorded a direct hit.

An American HIMARS multiple-launch rocket launcher system of the Ukrainian armed forces near Kramatorsk in the Donetsk people's republic was detected by a ZALA Lancet reconnaissance and strike system. The operators of the barrage munition traced the route of the enemy equipment all the way to a camouflaged position in a forest belt near the village of Sergeyevka, after which they struck the target.
The video and coordinates of the position of the damaged HIMARS MLRS were transmitted in real time to the command by the ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance system, after which a decision was made to use the Iskander MLRS against the target. The ZALA Z-16 objective control footage recorded an accurate hit and detonation of the HIMARS MLRS ammunition. The target was destroyed.

The AFU has repeatedly used HIMARS MLRSs to attack civilian targets in territories located in Kursk and Belgorod regions. The firing range of the American rocket system allows the enemy to strike at a considerable distance from the line of contact, which increases the priority of this target for the Russian Armed Forces.

ZALA specialists are continuously modernising unmanned systems. Thus, according to the publicly available sources As a result of the considerable experience of using the Lancet in real combat conditions, the Russian Armed Forces have started using modernised ZALA Lancet reconnaissance and strike systems, which include ZALA Z-16 UAVs and Lancet series barrage munitions, to strike remote targets behind enemy lines. The new-generation ZALA UAVs are equipped with improved communication channels that are more resistant to the effects of REB. At the same time, upgrades to the guidance and target recognition system have improved the accuracy and effectiveness of the barrage munitions.
