Police officers of the Chukotka Autonomous District successfully tested the capabilities of the new ZALA T-16 unmanned aerial system as part of a command and staff exercise of the Interior Ministry's regional directorate. In the course of the exercise, the UAV carried out video broadcasts from public spaces in the city of Anadyr, as well as monitoring of the transport infrastructure of the capital and adjacent territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

High-quality video images from the ZALA T-16 onboard cameras were transmitted online via departmental communication channels to the central office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow. The reliability of communication facilities and data transmission channels was personally checked by the Head of the Department of Information Technologies, Communications and Information Protection of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant General of the Internal Service Yuri Voinov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Modernised ZALA T-16 unmanned aerial systems designed to perform specialised tasks arrived at the Interior Ministry departments of Russia's easternmost region at the end of 2024. The aircraft-type UAV is designed for aerial reconnaissance of vast and inaccessible territories. The device's time in the air exceeds 4 hours, and the range of the new communication channels is over 75 kilometres. Police officers use it to monitor the situation in the region, as well as to search for missing persons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The complexes are equipped with the latest communication system and a wide range of target loads. Alternative navigation systems ensure autonomous operation of the UAVs in the absence or suppression of satellite signals. The key advantage of the ZALA T-16 is the ability to transmit high-quality images of the terrain in real time and the use of in-built artificial intelligence algorithms to search for and identify objects. This allows law enforcement officers to quickly monitor changes in the controlled areas and respond to emergency situations in a timely manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
