However, earlier, it was its pilot who revealed the preparations of the Ukrainian units for the crossing. So, our drone pilots\u00ab contribution to this success was decisive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Performing a flight along a pre-programmed route, this device is capable of penetrating deep into the enemy\u2019s rear, relying on the capabilities of the inertial navigation system. During such an autonomous reconnaissance flight, it ZALA continuously records new data, which the operator updates immediately as soon as the drone returns to the signal reception zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abThe operator, while conducting reconnaissance, carefully examines the terrain in the areas of concentration or permanent deployment of the enemy,\u00bb notes Kham. \u201cDuring observation along the lines and areas, in the so-called area of special attention, he should note any changes that may be related to the activities of the troops.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These may be changes in the terrain due to the construction of new fortifications (shelters for personnel and equipment, new positions for artillery units, and so on), and the creation of new routes in wooded areas. The dust and smoke on the roads and in the forest belts may already be a sign that the enemy units are beginning to move closer to the front line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abProperly organized continuous monitoring allows not only to \u00bbsketch out\u201d individual well-camouflaged targets, but also to anticipate future actions against us, especially in those areas where the activity of the enemy\u2019s forces and resources increases manifold,\u201d notes the head of the reconnaissance UAV\u2019s calculation unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, the assembly of the next \u00abbird\u00bb is already underway in the forest area. The main weapon carried on the ZALA Z-16 is a HD camera with a sixty-fold magnification. In addition to the optical system, it is equipped with a thermal imager. During its commissioning, the drone ZALA has inflicted damage on hundreds of units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces\u00ab equipment, many of which are Western-made models. But most importantly, the data collected and transmitted to command in a timely manner by these \u00bbbirds\u00ab have repeatedly helped to disrupt major operations and sabotage attempts by the Kiev
