On 13 April, the first domestic unmanned aerial system with a hybrid propulsion system was unveiled. ZALA 421-16E5G.

The aerodrome-free complex, equipped with a sequential hybrid propulsion system, is capable of staying in the air for more than 12 hours and travelling distances of more than 1,200 km. Thanks to an onboard computer based on artificial intelligence, object detection and recognition takes place in real time, and during flight, video navigation is used, which minimises the effects of electronic warfare and ensures flight in complete radio silence.

The main advantage of the serial hybrid is the ability to operate over the target in an electrical circuit, which reduces the acoustic signature of the unmanned system many times.

In addition to optoelectronic payloads, the vehicle is equipped with radio-technical reconnaissance equipment, communication repeaters, and cellular network monitoring modules.
