The ZALA T-16 UAV has been successfully tested for monitoring ice conditions in Sakhalin
Specialists from the "Aurora-BAS" airline have conducted tests of the ZALA T-16 unmanned complex in Mordvinov Bay to monitor the state of sea ice. The operations confirmed the high efficiency of the unmanned complex for detecting and analyzing cracks.
Equipped with high-quality cameras and a thermal imager, the ZALA T-16 UAV allows for highly accurate determination of the size and direction of fractures. This data is critically important for forecasting ice conditions and preventing emergency situations—in Sakhalin, cases where fishermen on broken-off ice floes are swept out to the open sea are not uncommon.
As noted by the airline, the capabilities of the unmanned complex continue to impress. It is worth emphasizing that ZALA UAVs are already used by the region's rescue services for aviation monitoring, including ice and flood conditions.
