AI vs EW: ZALA Lancet UAV maintains strike accuracy under active countermeasures
Artificial intelligence in ZALA «Lancet» UAVs directly impacts the outcome. It simplifies the operator's job – target acquisition and tracking, even under the influence of electronic warfare (EW) systems. Developed by ZALA specialists – IRRA hardware-software complex works on board the Lancet loitering munition and makes key decisions at the moment of attack.
The system provides automatic real-time detection, identification, and tracking of targets using video and thermal imaging data. Machine vision algorithms isolate the object, keep it in frame, and perform precise munition guidance upon confirmed operator command.
This approach reduces reaction time and takes some of the computational load off. Even under conditions of active electronic warfare, with communication channel disruption, the Lancet maintains targeting without human intervention.
According to the fighters, «The enemy no longer has the slightest chance of escaping. 99.9 % the target will be hit».
