A ban on visiting forests has been introduced in the Tyumen region: drones and Rosgvardeys will monitor the situation

A ban on visiting forests has been introduced in the Tyumen Region: ZALA AERO GROUP drones and Rosgvardeys will monitor the situation.

A special firefighting regime has been introduced in the Tyumen Region. It is forbidden to visit forests during this period. Large fines await violators, the regional Department of Forestry warns.

Until 12 May, specialists of the Federal State Forest Supervision Department together with the Rosgvardiya and the State Hunting Department of the region will patrol the forests in a reinforced mode. Drones will also be involved in the work. With the help of video and photo cameras of the drones, citizens visiting forests will be brought to justice and taken out of the forest.

"All our fires are caused by people burning. First they burn the grass, then the fire goes into the forest. Drones will cover all areas. They are modern, they fly very far. We record all violations, especially being in the forest. We now have a self-isolation regime and a special fire prevention regime in force. It is forbidden to be in the forests. If before it was impossible to carry out fire-hazardous work and build bonfires, now it is also prohibited to visit forests," Igor Shabrov, Head of the Federal State Forest Supervision Directorate of the Tyumen Region Forestry Department, emphasised.

Nikolay Purtov, Director of the Tyumen Region Forestry Department, answering questions from subscribers of the Tyumen Region VKontakte group, explained that this year the restrictions were introduced earlier due to a low-snow winter and early snowfall. Due to the climatic peculiarities of this season, the first fire in the region's forests was registered already in early April, and by 30 April, 41 fires had been extinguished. This is significantly higher than in previous years, when 12-13 fires were registered in April. "The forest fire situation is quite serious. Human factor becomes the cause of 99.9 per cent of fires. In April, only one fire occurred because of a broken power line. That is why it is so important to refuse to go into the forest now," Nikolai Purtov said.

Tyumen specialists follow the development of situations in neighbouring regions to assess all risks. A number of settlements prone to forest fires have also been identified and work has been carried out to protect them.
