Dagestan police received upgraded ZALA UAVs for work in mountainous terrain

The Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Dagestan received an upgraded ZALA unmanned aerial system, which includes two T-16 aircraft-type UAVs and two ground control stations. The delivery of the equipment is aimed at improving the efficiency of fulfilment of operational tasks of law enforcement agencies in the difficult conditions of the Caucasus.

The main feature of the complex is a stable communication channel with a range of more than 100 kilometres, provided by the relay system. This allows real-time transmission of the vehicle control between ground stations and continuous monitoring of the territory even in difficult mountainous terrain, where the use of conventional UAVs is limited.

It should be noted that the active use of ZALA UAVs in the high mountains began in 2017 during the Kavkaz exercise. The experience accumulated over the years of operating in difficult geographical conditions was taken into account when modernising the ZALA T-16. The delivery of the complexes to Dagestan confirms their ability to effectively fulfil the tasks of law enforcement agencies in any conditions.
