The "winged infantry" are deservedly called the elite of our Armed Forces. Throughout its glorious history, the Airborne Troops have written many bright and heroic pages in the annals of the Russian Army. Paratroopers selflessly defended the Motherland during the Great Patriotic War, honourably fulfilled their duty in the mountains of Afghanistan and the North Caucasus, showed courage in the deserts of Syria. And today, following their famous motto "No one but us!", the Airborne Troops are on the front line, tackling their tasks in the course of a special military operation with the courage and daring inherent in them.
