ZALA drones completed the 65th Russian Antarctic Expedition

The seasonal 65th Russian Antarctic Expedition ended with the return to the port of St. Petersburg of the research vessel "Akademik Fedorov" with the success of modern technologies.
At Progress station, in permafrost conditions, using the ZALA 421-08 ARCTIC ballistic missile launcher, scientists conducted geological and ice reconnaissance, created maps of the area, and monitored dangerous hydrological objects.
The total flight time of the ZALA 421-08 ARCTIC ballistic missiles during the five and a half months of work was 3,033 minutes, with 134 square kilometres of the survey area covered by high-resolution aerial photography.
The Antarctic meteorological conditions are not stable, but unmanned complexes of the ARCTIC series are resistant to frost up to - 50°C and wind up to 20 m/s.
According to the results of the expedition, the use of the ZALA 421-08 ARCTIC BVS is positive and effective in the harsh weather conditions of the Antarctic continent.
