ZALA Z-16s provide reconnaissance and objective control of the use of Russian Air Force bombs in the North Caucasus Military District

The ZALA Z-16 UAS at the NWO has become an effective means of reconnaissance and objective control of the Russian Air Force's use of FAB aerial bombs with UMPK.

FABs equipped with Universal Planning and Correction Modules (UPCDs) turn free-fall bombs into long-range precision weapons. The planning munitions destroy targets according to predetermined coordinates transmitted by the carrier aircraft at a distance of more than 50 kilometres, reducing the risk of losing manned aircraft to enemy fire.

The ZALA Z-16 UAS operators are in constant co-operation with the Russian Air Force units: they conduct reconnaissance in the enemy territory round the clock, provide correction and objective control of the use of FABs from the UMPK at the NWO. Due to composite materials and an electric motor, the BVS is invisible to air defence systems. At the same time, the optical and thermal imaging equipment installed on board the Z-16 is capable of transmitting high-quality images of the terrain in real time at a distance of more than 70 kilometres.

We present a selection of reconnaissance and objective control footage from the ZALA Z-16 UAV of Russian air strikes on AFU positions.
