Participation in unmanned aerial systems detection system tests

04 December 2021 at the airfield "Pervushino", Ufa, pilot tests of joint flights of helicopter and unmanned aircraft systems were held.

Roscosmos State Corporation, together with ZALA AERO and Transport Navigation Centre JSC, conducted joint tests of the airspace use control and management system, during which convergence scenarios were worked out, aircraft pilots and the external pilot of the BVS were notified of the threat of collision, as well as the response measures taken by crew members

It can be difficult to distinguish UAVs from other aircraft due to the visual and acoustic cloaking of the vessel. The radio monitoring detection module is tasked with detecting the transmitters installed on the UAS, determining their type and main characteristics, and collecting information for control interception.

Detection systems have specific requirements: high levels of sensitivity, early detection capability and minimisation of false alarms.

The main tasks of detection systems are to transmit an alarm signal to the security console about unauthorised approach to the boundaries of the protected object or the customer's workplace, as well as to monitor the situation and assess the dynamics of changes in the threat level.
