Environmental control and not only. Aerial monitoring with the help of ZALA UAVs

In the 3 years since the launch of the high-tech aerial monitoring system, the total UAV flight over Gazprom Neft-Orenburg facilities has exceeded 70,000 kilometres.

Orenburg, 16 October - IA Neftegaz.RU. Gazprom Neft-Orenburg, a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, actively uses aeromonitoring to ensure environmental safety.
Gazpromneft-Orenburg summed up the results of 3 years of project implementation on 15 October 2019.

The enterprise's Airless Aircraft Complex (AAC) includes 3 domestically produced long-range aircraft.
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are equipped with state-of-the-art digital optics, enabling surveillance, photo and video recording both in daylight and in the dark.

Gazprom Neft-Orenburg uses UAVs to monitor the condition of 2,350 kilometres of field pipelines and production facilities of the enterprise.
The drones are controlled from a ground station where images are received online.
The system provides reliable monitoring of the situation at production facilities, significantly reducing the transport costs of ground surveillance services and, if necessary, the response time to abnormal situations.

Gazprom Neft-Orenburg started using unmanned technologies in 2016.
Tests on the use of drones for security purposes have demonstrated the possibility of expanding the boundaries of their use.
In the 3 years since the launch of the high-tech aerial monitoring system, the total flight of UAVs over the company's facilities has exceeded 70 thousand kilometres.

Today, one of the main functions of the UAV system is to provide environmental control.
Aircraft are used to assess the integrity of pipelines and the condition of production infrastructure, identify possible oil spills, oiled soil, unauthorised dumps near infrastructure facilities and other violations.
In the regular aerial surveillance zone - wells, drilling rigs, in-field roads, oil and gas pipelines and adjacent territories.
Continuous air control covers the entire asset area, including the most remote sites.

Solutions using unmanned technologies are already an integral part of Gazprom Neft's production process.
In total, already more than 60% of the total length of Gazprom Neft's pipelines (about 7,000 km) are partially or fully monitored using aircraft-type drones
UAVs are actively used by various subsidiaries and joint ventures of Gazprom Neft.
The first Gazprom Neft subsidiary to use unmanned aerial vehicles to monitor terrain was Gazprom Neft-Noyabrskneftegaz.
The company is actively developing this area - in April 2019, field tests of the latest object monitoring system created by ZALA AERO GROUP, a member of Kalashnikov Concern, were successfully completed.
A lot of experience has been accumulated in Gazpromneft-Khantos.
In October 2018. Messoyakhaneftegaz conducted UAV pilot tests at the Vostochno-Messoyakhskoye field in the YNAO.
