ZALA AERO GROUP recognised as the winner in the tender of OOO LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft-Kalmykiya

ZALA AERO GROUP was recognised as the winner in the tender of OOO LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft-Kalmykia for unmanned aerial monitoring services
The co-operation between the companies started in 2017 and will continue under the current contract from 2020 to 2023.
OOO LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft-Kalmykia was the first among LUKOIL Group companies to introduce the use of unmanned technologies, which made it possible to significantly optimise monitoring costs and improve responsiveness to possible violations in the security zone.
ZALA AERO flight teams have been successfully monitoring the infrastructure of LUKOIL Nizhnevolzhskneft-Kalmykia for three years. The company performs regular day and night flights; additionally, orthophotos with geodetic support are formed.
In the context of the new contract, aerial patrols will be carried out using unmanned aerial systems on the 90 kilometre-long external oil transport pipeline from the Caspian Sea coastline to onshore facilities and adjacent territory, thus ensuring control over the entire section.
In this way, the monitoring data will be automatically processed by artificial intelligence-based software, accelerating the efficiency of data analysis and reducing routine manual procedures, as well as improving the accuracy of violation identification.
