Modernised ZALA Z-16s conduct reconnaissance deep behind enemy lines

The ZALA Z-16 UAV unit of the Dnepr group of troops performs round-the-clock aerial reconnaissance and detection of artillery firing positions, enemy manpower and equipment.

According to the Russian Defence Ministry, the updated ZALA Z-16s, equipped with new communication channels and alternative navigation systems, are successfully used in conditions of active countermeasures against enemy electronic warfare. In addition, the range and flight duration have been increased. This allows the UAVs to conduct reconnaissance at long range and patrol the right bank of the Dnieper River deep inside the territory occupied by the enemy for a long time.
