ZALA Z-16 provided reconnaissance, targeting and corrective fire during the destruction of an AFU BMP with a paratrooper.
The ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAV of the Centre group detected an infantry fighting vehicle carrying a troop of AFU formations in the Dobropolskiy area. Information about the target was promptly transmitted to the D-30 towed howitzer of the 621st separate howitzer division. The firing was conducted from a closed firing position using 122-mm fragmentation-fugitive shells at a range of up to 12 kilometres. Supported by ZALA operators, the artillerymen struck the target accurately. The destruction of the enemy infantry fighting vehicle was confirmed by objective monitoring from the Z-16 UAV.
