The sky is under control: ZALA Lancet RUC units uncover enemy sorties in Sumy region
ZALA «Lancet» UAVs are controlling the skies over enemy positions in the Sumy region. In this sector, units of the «Sever» troop grouping are systematically breaking through Ukrainian Armed Forces' defences. According to the soldiers, enemy vehicle convoys are no longer appearing on the front lines today; tactics have shifted towards single sorties. In these conditions, the key task is to quickly detect and neutralise even small groups.
For maximum speed, the ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAV is launched from a concealed take-off position – this provides protection from detection and allows for rapid deployment of the aircraft. Operators of Lancet loitering munitions are also on combat duty around the clock: upon detection of a priority target, the strike must be immediate. As a result, this unit alone has destroyed dozens of targets – tanks, artillery pieces, and temporary enemy deployment points.
The effectiveness of ZALA Lancet loitering munitions is not only in their mobility and speed of deployment. The system is constantly being refined to counter the enemy's tactics.
«The enemy is coming up with something — we see it, pass it to our instructors. They react and introduce innovations: avoiding ramming, evasions, various spectrum analysers,» says the operator with the call sign «Mongol».
