ZALA Z-20 controls the Krasnoliman direction

The new-generation ZALA Z-20 reconnaissance UAV provides continuous surveillance of the strategically important Krasnoliman sector. The following account details the operations of the ZALA «Lancet» control unit crews working in conjunction with the new aircraft: Channel One.

The Z-20 can ascend to an altitude of up to 8.5 kilometres – not just for evading enemy electronic warfare systems. The technical capabilities of its onboard cameras and thermal imager allow it to confidently perform reconnaissance tasks even from such a distance. According to the soldiers, the aircraft looks like a bird to enemy air defence systems: its high altitude, small size, and composite hull make it virtually invisible.

In addition to reconnaissance, the Z-20 functions as a repeater for Lancet loitering munitions. A single set of batteries lasts for six hours of operation at a distance of up to 150 kilometres.

«We’re already flying in Kramatorsk, in Sloviansk, and in Izium too – we’re carrying out reconnaissance,» said the operator of the ZALA Z-20, call sign Motor.
