ZALA T-16s completed their tasks during exercises in Khakassia
A three-day inter-agency exercise involving external pilots of unmanned aerial systems has concluded in the Shirin District of the Republic of Khakassia. Specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Russian Guard and the regional Ministry of Forestry exchanged experiences and practised joint operations in response to emergencies. One of the key stages involved night-time flights using the ZALA T-16 system. The aircraft is equipped with high-quality optics and a thermal imager, enabling it to carry out tasks confidently after dark and detect people in forested areas.
A key advantage of the ZALA T-16 is its flight duration: the system is capable of remaining airborne for more than four hours. Reliable, interference-resistant communications and backup navigation systems ensure a stable video feed even in challenging electronic warfare environments. This enables specialists to continuously monitor changes in the operational situation and respond instantly to contingencies.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasises that unmanned aerial systems significantly simplify the agency's work: compared to manned aviation, the use of UAVs makes it possible to carry out tasks related to monitoring floods, ice conditions and natural fires, as well as conducting search and rescue operations, more quickly and at a lower cost.
