15 years - a great flight! ZALA AERO celebrates its anniversary
ZALA AERO, a leading manufacturer of unmanned systems, celebrates its 15th anniversary. Today unmanned systems produced by ZALA AERO are widely known in our country and abroad, the company has representative offices in 5 cities in Russia, Kazakhstan and Peru. ZALA UAVs perform more than 30 thousand sorties annually, and in terms of total flight time they fly around the equator every fortnight.
The beginning of the journey
The company's history began in 2004 with a strong team of like-minded individuals passionate about a common cause. Their enthusiasm and hard work bore fruit—just two years later, they presented five models of ZALA unmanned aerial vehicles at the MAKS International Aviation and Space Forum.
In 2008, the G8 was established ZALA 421-08M - an unmanned aerial vehicle that remains one of the most popular to this day. It is an elaborate and multifunctional system that can be compared to a Kalashnikov assault rifle in terms of its simplicity and reliability.
From hobby to serious business
Since then, the staff has grown from 5 to 270 people, a network of flight detachments has been established, representative offices and service centres have been opened in Russia and abroad, and the following has been established Training Centre Operator training. ZALA AERO has mastered the full production cycle at its own facilities: it manufactures printed circuit boards, payloads, communications equipment, equips mobile systems, and develops software.
Today, the ZALA model range includes tactical, reconnaissance, strike unmanned systems, electronic warfare, communications and mobile systems. In the light class, ZALA's unmanned systems successfully compete with global manufacturers.
Outrunning time
Adhering to the belief "To achieve success, you don't have to keep up with the times, you have to overtake them", the company's specialists continuously update the element base and control algorithms, and develop new solutions. This year ZALA AERO presented its new direction - barrage munitions of the family LANCET и CUBwhich aroused the close interest of foreign experts.
