Gazprom Neft-Noyabrskneftegaz conducts continuous monitoring of the area using UAVs

Noyabrsk, YNAO, 30 July - Neftegaz.RU. Gazprom Neft-Noyabrskneftegaz conducts continuous monitoring of the area using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz, a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, announced this on 30 July 2019.
The daily overflights fulfil several tasks at once.
UAVs allow monitoring the integrity of pipeline transport, as well as the condition and fire situation in the forests at the company's fields.
During each flight, the drone covers a distance of 600 kilometres.
Aerial imagery data is transmitted to the operator in online mode, which makes it possible to monitor the condition of pressure oil pipeline routes and promptly detect changes in the landscape or unauthorised actions by third parties.
In case smoke is detected in the overflight areas, the information is immediately transmitted to the EMERCOM control centre.
Gazprom Neft-Noyabrskneftegaz became the 1st Gazprom Neft subsidiary to use unmanned aerial vehicles to monitor terrain.
Since 2014. UAVs have flown over 500,000 kilometres over the company's fields.
The company continues to co-operate with Russian UAV developers.
In April 2019, the latest facility monitoring system created by ZALA AERO GROUP was successfully field-tested at the facility.
