ZALA AERO to deliver seven drone systems to Latin America

Russian company ZALA AERO (part of the Kalashnikov Group), one of the largest domestic manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles, signed a contract to supply Panamanian company UAV LATAM with seven unmanned aerial systems.

«"ZALA AERO and UAV LATAM have signed a contract for the delivery of seven ZALA AERO-produced UAS in 2022-2023," the Panamanian company's press service reported. The contract also includes the promotion of ZALA AERO-developed UAS and counter-UAV systems in eight Latin American countries where UAV LATAM has a presence.

ZALA AERO will also provide UAV operator training, the press service noted. "Under the contract, ZALA AERO will assist UAV LATAM in the construction of a UAV operator training center using simulators and virtual reality technologies. The parties also agreed to implement a project to create an artificial intelligence technology center for data processing and analysis," the company noted.

UAV LATAM is the largest UAV operator in Latin America. Its UAV Peru division, in particular, has been operating five different UAVs manufactured by ZALA AERO since 2017.
