The Lancet and BEC were used in the Baltic to practice destroying a conditional enemy ship

The Baltic Fleet held exercises during which servicemen practised destroying a conditional enemy ship using a ZALA Lancet barrage munition and a crewless boat. Objective control was carried out by a ZALA Z-16 UAV.
After the Lancet accurately struck the conditional enemy ship, an uncrewed boat entered the action and completed the destruction of the target. The ZALA Z-16 provided objective control of the BEC and strike UAV operations. The operator of the BEC with the call sign "Tourist" noted that the equipment allows it to operate confidently throughout the Baltic Sea, even in the face of the enemy's attempts to jam the signal with electronic warfare equipment.
Russian Navy Exercise "July Storm" were held from 23 to 27 July in the waters of the Pacific and Arctic Oceans, the Baltic and Caspian Seas with the participation of various types of ships, naval aviation helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles and uncrewed boats. As the Defence Ministry stressed, the exercises tested the fleet's readiness "to deal with non-standard operational tasks, the integrated use of long-range precision weapons, unmanned systems, advanced and modern weapons and military equipment".
