Continuous adaptation: ZALA Z-16s bypass electronic warfare systems and guide «Grad» rocket launchers to targets in the Special Military Operation zone

The ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAVs are constantly adapting to the combat situation, enabling Russian units to identify priority targets across all sectors of the Special Military Operation. This was reported by the squad leader of the ZALA «Lancet» UAV crew from the Guards Marine Division, whose call sign is «Izyum».

«The biggest targets are the M-777 howitzer, a Soviet-era tank, and undoubtedly more intense work now in terms of electronic warfare and hunter-killer systems. Adaptation involves new firmware, manoeuvring, finding new routes, and plotting routes to increase the chances of reaching and destroying the target,» the serviceman explained.

During one of their sorties, the operators of the ZALA Z-16 identified the enemy’s temporary deployment positions. Once the coordinates had been confirmed, the data was relayed to the rocket artillery fire control centre. Crews operating the «Grad» multiple launch rocket system were deployed and fired a salvo at the enemy. Thanks to the high precision of the UAV operators’ guidance and the coordinated efforts of the MLRS crews, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ positions were destroyed.
