From reconnaissance to strike: BvS troops honed tactics for using the Lancet RUK«
Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) units conducted tactical exercises at a training ground in the Southern Military District of Crimea. The focus was on the use of ZALA "Lancet" reconnaissance and strike systems, which are actively and successfully used for counter-battery warfare during the Central Military District.
During the training, operators conducted comprehensive reconnaissance of the area using a ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAV. After detecting camouflaged simulated targets, their coordinates were promptly transmitted to command posts. In the next stage, Lancet loitering munition crews, using the acquired data, accurately guided, approached, and dived on the targets.
As emphasized in Russian Ministry of Defence, competent management, and coordinated interaction among all participants made it possible to fully accomplish the assigned tasks. The exercises clearly confirmed the principle formulated by Alexander Suvorov: "Easy in training, difficult in campaign; difficult in training, easy in campaign." Skills developed in the rear directly improve the effectiveness of crews on the front lines.
