«Opening the sky»: ZALA's Lancet RUC calculations hunt RADA radars
ZALA «Lancet» radar units are carrying out targeted work to destroy Israeli-made RADA radar stations. Such radars are designed to detect Russian reconnaissance and attack UAVs, which are «quite difficult to detect without the use of such a station,» said the chief of the ZALA Lancet radar station of the Northern Group of Forces with the call sign Polyana.
«Such radar stations like RADA are rare. They have the property of detecting [a target] up to 50 kilometres. Accordingly, if we destroy them, we open up the sky for ourselves, first of all: we do the same reconnaissance and hit targets. The fewer these radar stations are, the easier it is for us to build a flight mission,» the chief of calculations noted.
Another RADA-type radar was detected during electronic reconnaissance. Additional reconnaissance by a ZALA Z-16 UAV confirmed the enemy target, which was destroyed by a precision strike of a Lancet barrage munition.
