The destruction of the ZALA «Lancet» command post disrupted the construction of Ukrainian Armed Forces fortifications in the Zaporizhzhia region
During an aerial reconnaissance mission, the crew of a ZALA Z-16 UAV from the 22nd Independent Battalion of the 98th Guards Airborne Division detected active operations by enemy engineering units in the Zaporizhzhia region. In a wooded area near the village of Veseloye, the operators spotted specialist engineering equipment being used to prepare a caponier for the deployment of armoured vehicles.
«We conducted reconnaissance and identified numerous fortifications. The enemy is thoroughly dug in: covered from above with logs, ramparts and soil. As we dug deeper beyond the line of combat contact, we discovered actively working engineering equipment - anti-tank ditches were being prepared and "dragon's teeth" were being installed, and they were being delivered,» reported sapper-operator with the call sign Moreman.A Lancet loitering munition was precisely struck on target.
Objective monitoring from ZALA Z-16 recorded a direct hit and the destruction of Ukrainian Armed Forces equipment, which halted the enemy’s further construction of fortifications in this sector.
