Airborne troops used the Lancet against AFU artillery in Zaporizhzhya region
The ZALA «Lancet» reconnaissance and strike system of the Novorossiysk Guards Airborne Troops as part of the «Dnepr» troop grouping detected and destroyed an enemy self-propelled artillery unit in the Orekhovskoye direction in the Zaporozhye region.
During a flight deep into the front line, the operator of the ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAV identified a foreign-made enemy UAS camouflaged in a forest belt. The coordinates of the target were promptly transmitted to the command centre, where a decision was made to destroy it.
«The Lancet formation skilfully made an approach to the target, and the ZALA reconnaissance UAV recorded the defeat of a camouflaged artillery installation," the Russian Defence Ministry said.The ministry stressed that reconnaissance and target search are conducted in conditions of active countermeasures against the enemy's electronic warfare equipment. It is in such a difficult environment that the ZALA Lancet reconnaissance and strike systems proved themselves as a highly effective means of counter-battery warfare.
