ZALA "Lancet": destruction of an AFU howitzer

The ZALA Lancet reconnaissance and strike system of the Dnipro group of forces destroyed another M-198 howitzer of the AFU in the Zaporizhzhya region.

The American-made artillery piece was detected using the thermal imager of the ZALA Z-16 unmanned aerial reconnaissance system at a distance of 25 kilometres from the line of contact. The coordinates of the target were immediately transmitted to the command centre, where a decision was made to use the ZALA Lancet barrage munition against the howitzer. High flight characteristics, onboard AI for searching and identifying priority targets in conjunction with the professional work of Lancet operators allow Russian units to deliver precise strikes to a depth of several dozen kilometres. The American-made howitzer was destroyed along with its ammunition.

We would like to point out that AFU artillery is among the priority targets of the ZALA Lancet reconnaissance and strike systems. A day earlier, the operators of the Lancet series barrage munition of Force Group West destroyed an AFU self-propelled artillery unit Gvozdika in Kharkiv Region. According to open sources, a total of 796 enemy howitzers have been put out of action with the help of Lancets since the beginning of the Strategic Defence Forces.
