ZALA Z-16 - "eyes" of Geranium strike UAV operators

The Russian military used the Geran-2 drone to attack a temporary deployment point of an AFU paratrooper assault battalion in the Basy locality of Sumy Region. Reconnaissance, surveillance and fire correction for the operators of the strike UAV was provided by a ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAV.
"Geraniums" have become one of the main precision-guided weapons used by the Russian Armed Forces to strike military targets deep inside enemy defences. The strike UAV has no built-in reconnaissance system, so Gerani operators often rely on data from the ZALA Z-16 UAS cameras and thermal imager, which can transmit images in real time at a distance of more than 75 kilometres.
The capabilities of the ZALA ballistic missile system are actively used by Russian servicemen to adjust fire and objectively monitor the combat performance of artillery, multiple rocket launchers, aviation and Lancet barrage munitions.
