Employee training at ZALA AERO Training Centre

Training of the company's employees is the key to its success. To acquire professional competence in working with unmanned systems, including qualification as a UAV Operator, a specialised structural educational unit "ZALA AERO Training Centre" was established.

Two categories of trainees are trained: personnel operating ZALA AERO unmanned aircraft systems and candidates for the ZALA flying squadron.

The Training Centre has all the necessary conditions for professional training, retraining and advanced training.

Training is conducted only in full-time form, which allows you to get maximum knowledge and skills, and most importantly to apply the knowledge in practice. Classes can be conducted in three languages - Russian, English and Spanish.

As already mentioned in the last article, before starting training flights, trainees undergo theoretical training, during which they learn the air legislation of the Russian Federation, the basics of flight safety, aerodynamics, air navigation and the design of the BVS and its components.

The trainees are taught to operate the UAV, process photo and video material, prepare reports, perform maintenance and minor repairs of the unmanned complex.

Vocational Training Programmes:

• Vocational training programme "Operator of ground control equipment for an unmanned aerial vehicle with a maximum take-off weight of 30 kg or less";
• Retraining programme "Operator of ground control equipment for an unmanned aerial vehicle with a maximum take-off weight of 30 kg or less".

Programmes of additional professional education:

• Additional professional development programme Flight and technical operation of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and software;
• Additional professional development programme "Monitoring of oil and gas production facilities using BVS";
• Additional professional qualification improvement programme "Technician";
• Additional professional development programme "Decipherer of photo and video material obtained with the use of BIA".

The instructors of our Training Centre are highly qualified specialists with more than 10 years of experience in working with unmanned systems. As well as the trainees, the instructors constantly improve their skills, undergo timely professional development, and gain experience by participating in search and rescue operations and exercises in the interests of law enforcement agencies, regularly travelling on business trips and carrying out work together with ZALA flight teams.

For practical flights, the ZALA Training Centre uses different modifications of ZALA unmanned systems, vehicle-based ground control stations and portable control systems.

Upon graduation, graduates will be able to become part of our team in one of our flying squads and will be assigned to ZALA's existing projects and continue their professional and career development path.

As in manned aviation, BVS operators have qualification classes, which are an indicator of the level of professional training, in accordance with the level of knowledge and practical skills, the ability to perform a certain scope of functional duties.

Improvement of skills and high performance gives the opportunity to work on other, more complex projects of the company, such as participation in pilot tests, work on methane leak detection projects, magnetometer surveying.
