ZALA and Lancet tandem eliminated an AFU gun on the Kherson direction
The ZALA Lancet reconnaissance and strike system of the 18th Combined Arms Army of the Dnipro group of forces detected and destroyed an AFU artillery piece on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region.
During the combat sortie, ZALA Z-16 UAV operators overcame the effects of enemy electronic warfare systems and conducted prolonged surveillance of the area. The reconnaissance identified an enemy towed artillery piece camouflaged in a wooded area. After confirming the coordinates, the target was relayed to command. On order, ZALA operators sent a Lancet barrage munition to the area of detection, which accurately hit the enemy artillery piece.
«I have been working with the ZALA complex for two years now. We worked in Bakhmut, in Soledar. Then we came back to Kherson region. ZALA is a universal reconnaissance complex and also a strike complex, because it includes the Lancet. We perform reconnaissance, adjust artillery fire, and can also hit targets ourselves if the artillery fails or the target is in a place that is difficult for artillery," a fighter with the call sign Mishanya said.ZALA units at the forward positions in the Kherson region continue to carry out tasks to search for and engage priority targets, including NATO-made vehicles. According to the fighters, during the operations they managed to destroy several HIMARS installations and also identify the movement routes of enemy armoured vehicles, including Bradley BMPs.
