Combat operations of ZALA Lancet UAV crews in the Krasnolimansky direction
Russian units are pushing back the enemy in the Krasnolimansk sector of the front with the active support of ZALA «Lancet» UCAV crews, which are conducting reconnaissance, adjusting artillery fire, and striking AFU positions.
According to the fighters, the ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance drone can be launched in almost any weather. Another important feature is that the Z-16 is resistant to EW (electronic warfare) and, according to the military, is durable. It can hover over enemy positions for hours, scanning the area for many kilometres around. The high-resolution camera allows for a detailed view of everything.
«The camera quality is so good, we can even make out a car's number plate from an altitude of 5 kilometres,» says the platoon leader with the call sign Kham.
The reconnaissance aircraft operates deep behind enemy lines, several tens of kilometres from the front. Priority targets include air defence systems, heavy long-range artillery (predominantly foreign-made), armoured vehicles, and field fortifications. High-precision strikes against identified targets are carried out by Lancet loitering munitions. According to military personnel, despite the variety of UAVs, the Lancet, with its unique aerodynamics and significant flight range,100 km and over), still indispensable on the battlefield.
