ZALA AERO performed pilot tests of a laser gas analyser in the Krasnodar Region

ZALA AERO performed the second stage of pilot tests on methane and hazardous chemical leakage search using Z-16 GAS/DLS and Z-16GAS-VR target loads. The main task of the tests was to search for simulated methane and hazardous chemical leaks on the linear part of pipelines and oil and gas production facilities in the Krasnodar Territory using ZALA unmanned systems.

The tests consisted of several parts: preparatory, flight and desk tests. The preparatory part included obtaining initial data on the monitoring objects, drawing up a flight task and carrying out the necessary training of the crew and equipment. During the flight tests, searches for methane and hazardous chemical leaks were performed with subsequent processing of the search results. Finally, the data were processed and a report on the identified leakage locations was prepared for transmission to interested parties.

Fixation and formation of the leakage violation card took place in real time with indication of substance concentration and coordinates of the gas cloud.

During the pilot tests ZALA AERO performed 10 sorties, the results of which revealed 6 sites with increased methane and hydrogen sulphide content. The total length of the surveyed sites was 25 kilometres, 16 of which are located in mountainous terrain.

ZALA AERO manufactures target load methane detectors with measurement ranges from 0 to 99,999 ppm as well as multi-channel gas analysers capable of detecting vapours and gases over a wide range of names (including methane, propane, butane, sulphur, nitrogen, etc.) and concentration ranges from 0.01 to 1000 mg/m3.
