Traffic offenders will again be monitored from the air on Sverdlovsk highways

Traffic police officers began to monitor drivers who drive into the oncoming traffic lane.
The Sverdlovsk Region is launching raids to control traffic on intercity highways using a drone. Traffic police officers started to monitor drivers who drive into the oncoming traffic lane.
Video recorded by the ZALA-421 drones is transmitted to a ground control centre and inspectors follow what is happening on the road in real time.
The Sverdlovsk Region's traffic police department told Oblastnaya Gazeta that it is planned to use drones on the highways on a regular basis. They will be launched over those parts of the roads where accidents are most frequent.
It should be noted that it is not the first time that control over offenders by means of aircraft has been carried out in the Middle Urals. Since 2015, employees of the special aviation detachment of the Sverdlovsk Region's Rosgvardia Department have been assisting inspectors in suppressing gross traffic violations. In order to detect them, they use an aircraft equipped with the OKO-60 system.
