Pilot tests were carried out at the Samotlor oil and gas field

ZALA unmanned aerial systems passed pilot tests at the facilities of Samotlorneftegaz JSC. The main objective of the tests was to demonstrate the capabilities of the updated ZALA unmanned aerial systems.
In the course of the pilot study, UAV flights with real-time video broadcasting were performed to promptly identify discrepancies in pipelines and production sites with automatic interpretation of aerial survey data, with subsequent transfer of aerial survey results and information on the identified changes to the customer in the geographic information system.
The tests involved the ZALA 421-16E HD aircraft and the latest ZALA VTOL unmanned vertical take-off and landing system. The advantage of this aircraft is the ability to take off and land on limited terrain.
The conducted tests showed high efficiency of unmanned aerial systems and specialised software products for aerial monitoring of pipelines and adjacent infrastructure.
