Dear friends, today our country celebrates a holy and bright holiday - the Day of Heroes of the Fatherland.

On this date, we remember, honour and congratulate those who in all centuries have stood and are standing to defend Russia's national interests, who have "covered themselves with undying glory" on the fields of past and present battles. Russia's warriors, each of whom can safely be called a hero, have always been able to defend their country's independence, good, humanistic traditions, our cultural and universal values.

Today's heroes of the Fatherland are also fully characterised by valour, courage, nobility and the ability not to give up in the face of difficulties, just as their great predecessors were. I would like to sincerely thank all those who selflessly fight on the front line, committing a daily feat in the name of our Motherland, and those who, through their labour, bring peace on earth closer.
