ZALA AERO GROUP performed a record number of flights in the interests of PJSC GAZPROM in 2020

In 2020, ZALA AERO, a member of Kalashnikov Group, successfully performed more than 50,000 flights to ensure the safety of Russia's fuel and energy sector. In particular, 7 thousand flights were realised under contracts signed with gas transmission companies of PJSC Gazprom. At the same time, the coronavirus pandemic did not affect the full range of activities to monitor gas pipelines, condensate pipelines and adjacent infrastructure.

ZALA AERO engaged 30 flight crews and surveyed pipelines with a total length of 400,000 kilometres. Based on the results of aerial patrols, the operating services received all necessary photo and video materials.

To increase the efficiency of the work performed, specialised software based on artificial intelligence "GeoGraphics" was used to process Earth remote sensing data and promptly notify responsible persons at fuel and energy facilities.

In addition to the main scope of work, aerial patrols and aerial photography with high-precision geodetic support were performed in a number of constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Starting from 2021, ZALA AERO will implement a modified DLS-LA methane leak detection system.
