ZALA AERO will start monitoring the facilities of ROSPAN INTERNATIONAL JSC

ZALA AERO was recognised as the winner of the tender for the provision of services to monitor the condition of pipeline routes of ROSPAN INTERNATIONAL JSC using unmanned aerial vehicles.

The main purpose of pipeline route monitoring services is to detect pumped liquid spills, storage of household and construction waste, monitoring of construction and installation works, presence of unauthorised equipment and persons in the pipeline protection zone, etc.

The main and field gas pipelines are located in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and Tyumen Region within the boundaries of the Vostochno-Urengoysky and Novo-Urengoysky licence areas. The total length of air monitoring is more than 450 kilometres.

The work will be carried out using modernised ZALA 421-16E HD unmanned aircraft with high-resolution photo, video and thermal imaging cameras for day and night monitoring.

The work will be carried out weekly with transfer of visual information and cards of violations detected in real time to the Customer's workplaces, with subsequent decoding of the material and formation of orthophotomaps of pipelines and individual objects, territories, areas of the region.

Work will commence in February 2022 and the full service will be carried out over 2 years, inclusive to the end of 2023.

ROSPAN INTERNATIONAL JSC is the operator of the Vostochno-Urengoyskoye and Novo-Urengoyskoye gas condensate fields in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.

The Company was established in 1994. In March 2013, ROSPAN INTERNATIONAL joined the Rosneft Group of companies. From that moment on, the large-scale development of the project began.

The main object of development is the Achimov deposits, which are difficult to develop due to their low natural permeability and abnormally high reservoir pressure. Design capacity is more than 21 billion cubic metres of gas, 5 million tonnes of gas condensate and oil, and up to 1.3 million tonnes of technical propane-butane per year.
