The ZALA T-16, equipped with AI, monitors Sakhalin’s forests to protect them from fires
On Sakhalin, the ZALA T-16 is now monitoring the fire situation in the forests. Aerial monitoring is being carried out in conjunction with staff regional agency of forestry and hunting management are operated by Aurora-UAS operators.
Footage from the ZALA T-16 is streamed live, without delay, to the regional control centre at Sakhalin Air Base. This enables specialists to visually monitor vast areas and detect the slightest signs of smoke or open flames at an early stage.
The ZALA T-16 is equipped with a high-resolution video camera and a thermal imager. Built-in artificial intelligence automatically identifies anomalies and immediately generates reports on suspicious areas with precise coordinates. This eliminates human error and reduces response times, according to the forestry agency.
