Leading manufacturers of unmanned systems presented their developments. ZALA AERO specialists demonstrated ZALA unmanned systems, ground stations, communication equipment and advanced software products.

The test programme included flights in a given area, detection and recognition of objects: people and fires. Ergonomics, video image quality, coordinate accuracy, and flight duration were also evaluated.

BVS ZALA Z-16 successfully coped with the set tasks and confirmed the declared characteristics. HD video camera with 60x optical zoom was used as a target load. Thanks to the clear video image, the target objects were detected and recognised: a person, a vehicle, and a fire.

This unmanned system is the most popular in the ZALA serial range. The increased payload capacity allows the incorporation of additional equipment and expands the application possibilities of the unmanned craft. The wide range of target loads includes HD video cameras, still cameras, thermal imaging cameras, and public address systems. The target payloads are versatile and compatible with other ZALA UAVs. Since 2011, the ZALA Z-16 has been widely used for the needs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and in more than 50 ZALA flight units located throughout Russia.

The Commission highly appreciated the simplicity of the UAV control, clear software interface, comfortable working conditions in the equipped vehicle. According to the results of the tests, ZALA unmanned systems were recognised as the best.
