ZALA 421-16E UAS systems have completed more than 200,000 flights

ZALA AERO's flight crews have reached another milestone, having completed more than 200,000 flights using ZALA 421-16E unmanned aircraft since the start of serial production and operation of this type of UAV. The total flight time totalled more than 500,000 flight hours.

The 421-16E is the most popular model in the ZALA AERO family of unmanned aircraft systems. The 421-16E takes off or lands every 12 minutes. The first flight of this UAV took place in January 2011.

The main application of ZALA unmanned systems is in the oil and gas and energy sectors. ZALA UAVs are used for regular aerial monitoring of pipeline transport facilities in the interests of: Gazprom, Gazprom Neft, Rosneft, LUKOIL, Transneft, Slavneft, Tatneft, INK LLC and others.

ZALA 421-16E UAVs are capable of performing high-precision aerial photography, video and thermal monitoring, gas analysis, multispectral imaging and other tasks requiring high-tech solutions.

The flight duration of the BVS is more than 4 hours. Due to the payload capacity of the 421-16E, the applied photo and video cameras are the best in their class. During their operation, the drones of this type have undergone 4 deep modernisations. Since 2020, all UAVs have received a powerful on-board computer with artificial intelligence, FullHD video and infrared cameras broadcasting data in HD format, smart batteries and other improvements that enhance the performance of unmanned systems.
