EMERCOM tests ZALA ZARYA AI-powered ballistic missile launcher to fight forest fires

The National Centre for Crisis Management of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has started testing ZALA ZARYA unmanned systems equipped with on-board artificial intelligence for rapid detection of forest fires in vast areas.
The ZALA ZARYA-1 and ZALA ZARYA-1M unmanned systems equipped with high-quality optical and thermal imaging systems are already being used to monitor flood conditions, detect fires and perform other tasks of rescuers in more than 60 cities of the country. Now the centre's specialists together with ZALA's developers are testing these unmanned aircraft with integrated AI.
The onboard IRRA hardware and software system automatically analyses images during flight, highlights fire spots and generates automatic reports that allow rescuers to make quick decisions. This ZALA technology significantly reduces reaction time, improves the accuracy of fire location and reduces risks for employees. For emergency services, this means not only safety, but also significant savings in emergency response resources.
