Training at ZALA AERO

At our licensed Training Centre we train specialists in the operation of ZALA unmanned systems. Two categories of cadets are trained: customer personnel and candidates for the ZALA flight team.

Areas of training

We teach cadets to operate UAVs, process photo and video material, prepare reports, carry out maintenance and minor repairs of the unmanned complex. After passing the exams, the specialists receive the qualification "Operator of an unmanned aerial vehicle ground control station", "Technician," "Decoder."

Training programme

The training programme consists of 32 hours of theoretical and 40 hours of practical training.

Cadets acquire knowledge from such disciplines as aerodynamics, electrical engineering, radio electronics, meteorology, geodesy, life safety, data decoding and processing, basics of first aid, legal aspects of BVS application.

Training programmes are agreed with the customer based on the objectives. Each training flight has its own legend and scenario. The cadets undergo interim assessments, and at the end of training they pass the final exam.

Teachers

The instructors are constantly improving their skills: they participate in search and rescue operations and exercises in the interests of law enforcement agencies, regularly go on business trips and perform tasks together with ZALA flight units, so they have a lot of practical experience.

Equipment

For practical flights, the ZALA Training Centre has ten ZALA unmanned aerial systems, three equipped vehicles - Mercedes Sprinter, Gaz Sobol, Ford Transit. We have snowmobiles, quad bikes, and motorbikes to practice practical tasks according to a given scenario.

Before training flights, cadets are trained on the simulator. The programme fully simulates real flight conditions, you can select the type of aircraft, set weather conditions and download terrain maps. The simulator is also used to certify cadets. The instructor gives a flight task and selects the level of difficulty. Based on the results, the cadet receives an assessment and recommendations to improve his/her BVS control skills.

Living conditions

The ZALA Training Centre has created conditions for accommodation of non-resident cadets - comfortable living rooms, kitchen, gym, canteen, library, laundry. An excursion programme is provided on weekends.

We don't have graduates, we have a big family. After the course ends, we continue to support our students - counselling, sharing our experience, helping with advice.
