Application of unmanned aircraft systems ZALA AERO at the facilities of TPP Langepasneftegaz of Lukoil-West Siberia LLC

ZALA AERO Group won a competitive procurement procedure and signed a contract with TPP Langepasneftegaz of Lukoil-West Siberia LLC, which provides for monitoring of the oil production company's infrastructure using ZALA unmanned aerial systems. Since oil production takes place in remote, hard-to-reach areas, the requirements for industrial and environmental safety are significantly increasing.

As of January 1, 2023, Langepasneftegaz had already produced more than 375 million tonnes of oil, and the Uryevskoye field has reached 111 million tonnes. To replenish the raw materials base, Langepasneftegaz applies new effective enhanced oil recovery technologies. The results obtained made it possible to optimise well performance and bring hard-to-recover reserves into development. The company operates in the Tyumen Region and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra. The main natural resources of the economic region are fuel, forest and water resources.

LUKOIL-Western Siberia confirms its high quality standards by winning Russian, regional, industry and internal corporate competitions. The enterprise has been repeatedly recognised as the most dynamically developing in the region, business leader, and Company of the Year. The company has won awards for co-operation with the indigenous population, effective social and personnel policy.

We would like to remind you that the first pilot industrial trials (PIT) of ZALA unmanned aerial systems for monitoring oil and gas facilities at LUKOIL's fields were conducted from 2014 to 2016, and the success of the PIT marked the beginning of the use of unmanned aerial systems at LUKOIL's facilities.

Under the terms of the contract, the ZALA flight team will provide comprehensive aerial monitoring of pipeline routes and industrial infrastructure facilities of Langepasneftegaz TPP of OOO LUKOIL-West Siberia in 2023-2024. Based on the monitoring results, the operating service receives operational information on each object of interest, as well as photo and video materials, thermal images, orthophotos, detailed report cards on request.

Unique HD video cameras with 60x optical zoom and three-axis stabilisation are used for video monitoring, which provides high quality video information without loss of detail. Night time shooting is carried out using high sensitivity thermal imaging cameras.
